Very walkable zoo. Loads of animals were not today. Would be nice to have a list online of what is not viewable.

Overpriced for what it is.. the kids of course loved it. We were really disappointed that the train wasn't running. The place is so massive it would have helped us in seeing more of the place. If only there had been some way to get around...like a train. The cheetah looked really miserable in it's enclosure. Other animals looked alright. My dad said he had the worst cappuccino of his life at the overpriced cafe. I was surprised it was on the menu at all. The change tables in the bathroom were grimy.

It was really nice to go during the winter compared to the summer. Unfortunately not all of the animals can be seen as some must be kept indoor for the cold season, which makes total sense for they animals' well being. The majority, if not all, of the animals here have been rescued from somewhere. Either due to injury or living for too long in poor circumstances they cannot be brought back to the wild. It's nice to see these animals up close and appreciate their beauty from a safe and respectful distance. Although they are upgrading continually, as an electrician, it really bothered me to see such a completely, and not even close to electrical code, work being installed in the animal enclosures. Things like improper strapping, seismic, and the wrong materials being used for the job were everywhere. I would be completely embarrassed of myself to have put my name on that work. When using so many overhead power lines as they do, grounding/bonding becomes very important to the safety of these animals. If someone couldn't strap something to a wall what is the chance they understand the rules and regulations for Bonding a neutral conductor to ground? Slim. Look up dancing cows stray voltage for examples. This small rant does not affect the rating for the fact that all the animals seemed very relaxed and well taken care of. I'm glad there is a place in the Vancouver area that kids can see and learn to respect these wonderful creatures on our planet that would not have made it had the zoo not rescued them. :) Thanks for a nice time.

A fantastic zoo and great experience! Very well priced for the amount of animals and information. The enclosures are very large and natural. We spent hours there enjoying the walking and chatting with very friendly staff who love to share about their animals. Feel great that my small parking and entrance fees contribute to this zoo.

This place is not great but still nice to visit. The animals are in fairly large areas but it could definitely use some upgrades. I wish more people visited to help them with maintenance and upgrades. None of the animals looked like they were in poor condition and our kids loved seeing them. The visitor center/food court could stand a makeover.
